I have traveled extensively around the world, learning and benefiting immensely from top chefs. On one of these trips, I met my wife, who, like me, also works in the hospitality industry and therefore has a great understanding of my profession.

And why Vilotel?

With the birth of our first child, you look for a place to settle down. Searched and found. I came across VILOTEL through an appealing advertisement. My pitch during the interview was that I wanted to passionately bring my accumulated knowledge of Michelin-starred cuisine to the plate and cook at the highest level. So, the contract was signed, and we packed up everything and moved from Franconia to Oberkochen, Baden-Württemberg. Even while still in the construction container, we focused on kitchen optimization, scouting suppliers, designing menus, and hiring staff – not a day was boring, even without a stove, and it was perfect preparation for the opening.

Meanwhile, I have two boys who keep me quite busy. In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my family and supporting my wife. We regularly try to visit our families, who don’t live just around the corner. And when time truly allows, I go climbing in the mountains with Olaf, who has become not only my colleague but also a good friend.
